From the airport to the centre of Gdynia:

By bus/train:
Take city bus no. 110 or night service line N3 to railway station Gdańsk-Wrzeszcz, and then change to a fast city train SKM.

Public transport:

Buses/trolley buses – city bus transport is run by ZKM Gdynia. The transport network consists of eight fast lines (marked with letters), over seventy standard lines and six night service lines (marked with the letter N plus a number).

TICKETS: a single ticket for city transport costs 2.00 PLN, a daily ticket costs 9.00 PLN. Tickets are available in specially marked distribution points and should be stamped after entering the bus.

The Fast City Train – SKM is a popular and fast means of transport in the Tri-City, particularly when travelling between the three cities of the conglomeration.
Ticket price depends on the distance and varies from 2.20 to 19.00 PLN. Tickets are available from ticket machines and booking offices at railway stations.
Domestic transport:

Trains – the biggest railway station in Gdynia is the Main Railway Station Gdynia Główna Osobowa located at Konstytucji Square 1. National railway transport is managed by the Polish Railways PKP. There are railway connections from Gdynia to all large cities in Poland. InterCity, fast trains and regional trains depart from Gdynia.

Buses – the city’s main bus station is located close to the Main Railway Station. International, national and regional buses depart from the station.

Places of interest:

The Kościuszko Square – The most impressive part of Gdynia. This is the venue where all big outdoor events, concerts and picnics take place. The Square, entered by two main streets Świętojańska Street and 10 Lutego Street, joins a wharf where historical vessels, sailing ships and cruisers are moored.
One of the ships you can see there is “Dar Pomorza”, a historic sailing ship from 1909, and a destroyer ORP Błyskawica, which took active part in World War II.

The Oceanographic Museum and Marine Aquarium – in the aquarium you can see tortoises, tropical fish and other species such as characinids, as well as other sea creatures. The museum shows, among other attractions, a miniature model of the Baltic Sea bed.

Świętojańska Street – the city’s main street. The most expensive shops, cafes and restaurants are concentrated there.

Kamienna Góra – the illuminated cross here gives the best view point for Gdańsk seaport, Gdynia’s piers and the Gdańsk shipyards.
